he played bass on Buddy Holly's last tour, but gave up his seat to the Big Bopper on the flight that crashed, unfortunately for his friends. Waylon named his son Buddy, and wrote the song "Old Friend", about their friendship.

merci... alors il faut absolument que tu connaisses JP, car sa voix et ses mélodies sont magnifiques ! il fut aussi acteur, on le connait surtout en France pour la chanson générique de "shérif fais moi peur" (avec la voiture qui fait un vol plané), je prépare bienôt Merle haggard, un autre grand de la country, qui chante le générique et le refrain de "Chisum" (avec John Wayne)...

The Flying Burrito Brothers were the greatest rhinestone wearing, country rocking, songwriting, yodeling, warbling, cross-picking, cross-dressing, gospel singing, bunch of high-heeled cowboy geniuses in the history of rock & roll! And then the Eagles weren't bad either. I can wedge on the 'Natonals' and play a little bit of 12 string myself but it takes me an hour to warm up. :D
