Yeah, I'm near my computer alot. but I think I must have felt your vibe or something, I sat down & logged on , there was nothing, then with a flick it changed and there was your message. FREAKY! Wonderful, excellent, is only what I can say great drawing. I could go on about the technique or skills you have used, but as you have then well within control and your a far better drawer than me, I can't. Your use of tone and shading is so good, I have one concern and that is when you move to paint it will be so different you will not pursue it. Move in a small way to pastel work or watercolour pencil, it would be a good stepping stone before moving to complete paint. Well done, great work and excellent drama. The move to paint is needed only to keep your momentum of excellence going forward. this is my highest number of claps for a month.

Thanks so much, truly I am flattered that you hold it in that higher regard. I worked hard on this, but also his face his very familar to me, I've watched many Duvall movie so it was almost like drawing an old friend. Very enjoyable to draw an I find it's easier for me to draw when I enjoy the subject. One day I shall take the leap and try painting, but you are right I fear not liking it as much, because I know I will have to learn it all again, an I still feel I haven't finished learning with my drawing yet. But one day I shall push myself to do so. Cheers again my friend and I truly hope your father gets better, I shall put you in my thoughts and pray that everything turns around for you all. I wish there was more I could say or do, but I know from experiencing the loss of my mother-in-law there is not much that helps. You are in my thoughts Brainfree, you and all your family. Thanks Mate, for a small drawing by my standards, only A4, it was a mamoth effort! took a pain-staking 25hrs or something like that. i actually decide to stop counting, so it's probably more.

Wow... I don't even count the time my drawings take; for one or another reason I always interrupt them, usually to go sleep, cause I've learned fast that I draw better at night... In your comment on my 'Demi Moore' you said you'd finished 'Duvall-athon'... Not only finished it, your gold medal on it, congrats, my friend!
