Actually there are not a lot of color to this. The background with the nice dark brown brings the subject to life with the nice contrast. My old art teacher said there is really quite a bit of black and white to color pictures. You only need a few dominent colors to make your picture stand out as being great color. It is really tricky to get the balance and I think I have gotten closer here. Still struggling though. Thanks for your support!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi dear Anne Marie glad to hear from you. I am doing less art work now we are camping and boating this summer. So I don't take the time to draw as much. I have also been doing portraits for friends and family. I am really glad that they like my work and want me to do their pictures too. Yes the cortisone took the pain away sometimes I feel a tingle in the wrist but the pain is not there. I have been taking a few vacation days and we are down to four days a week instead of five working days so that has helped with my hand too. It is so hot I haven't been drawing much trying to get some summer fun in. We like to camp and boat so in summer I don't produce as much art work. I'll be back strong in the fall I am sure!!!!!
