Portrait de l'artiste jeanz(Namibie) Ajouté le 18 août 2009 à 22:00 Crayon
Oh dear ... these scans get worse and worse ... I shall have to reinvest in a digital camera again (mine was stolen. The economic situation is not doing Africa a lot of good - even Namibia has been hit with an escalation in the crime rate). Anyway this drawing of Caroline I dedicate to the great JR (Forsten) 'cause he's so amusing and such a fun dude - and his favourite one of my creations was "Anastacia with the big boobies"
Hi JR ... this lady lass is overdressed as far as Namibia is concerned ... most ethnic groups prance around in nothing more than thongs ... of course we're more "civilized", but less free, in the urban areas :'D ... it's as hot as hell in this part of the world, why wear clothes??? . Of course, those of us who do wear clothes carry around spears
Yup, Biggsy and I are neighbours - Biggsy even used to live in Namibia for a time --- and I lived in RSA for a time too. Aye JR, you must come to Africa some time - if you're heavy into soccer then don't miss the World Cup. Take care dude from The States ...
My darling Anne-Marie ... so long no hear!!! Thank you for your kindness - I love your new picture but I miss the other one at the same time. My loving thoughts are always with you. KEEP SMILING precious lady.
My darling Jeanz, you are a love of kindness, of talent, you're a great artist very dear to my heart, your portrait of Caroline is fantastic, very sensual, I like it very much, and I love you intensely, al my congratulations again, take good care of you my beauty, I embrace you very strong my darling
The most adorable lady on this site --- Anne-Marie, it is so lovely to connect with you, your warmth, your generosity, your kindness, your beauty (both inner and outer) are such a joy to experience. Take care loving lady. With the deepest love and friendship there can possibly be ... I bid you a glorious day
you are a real love, I am really very happy to have you encountered on this site, you're a great artist, so generous, so talented, so kind, so human, it is a pleasure to talk with you, pass a good day, that God bless you, I embrace you very strong my darling
sorry I just read through my reply and have to smile - why would life be treating your well??? ... YOU well my dear friend ... I hope life is treating YOU well!!! (To think my mother named me jeanius!!!) have an awesome weekend
You're welcome Jeanz! and well...see... DreamimgArt thought my web-cam shot was a woman so, I hadda change to a shot of me playing rugby and look for some macho smileys.. I'm just kidding...Zha Zha Gabor had ONE great line in her whole career: "Macho, does not mean mucho."
You play rugby John ... I didn't know you Americans knew about rugby!!!??? ... Zsa Zsa was right about the macho-mucho bit ... but Mae West said it better "... I go for two kinds of men. The kind with muscles, and the kind without". KEEP SMILING my great American friend.
We had a schoolyard game called 'Murderball' so, rugby was at least a l-i-t-t-l-e more civilized. (Oh yeah, 'Zsa Zsa' - thanks. I knew it didn't look right) That's a great Mae quote. She also said, to her handmaid, while she lay on a divan, playing the wealthy seductress, 'Beulah, peel me a grape,"
yeah - the only game tougher than dodge the spear is dodge the bullet as played in L.A. south central - how far are you from actual gun-totin' murderball?
Oh John you make me smile ... I guess "dodge the bullet" could be wickedly intense. Where I live (Windhoek, Namibia) ... it's very peaceful ... the crime rate is generally not too high (no guns - only those used for hunting purposes). Unfortunately the economic situation has turned a lot of the local lower income people towards "redistributing the wealth". I've already been burgled 4 times this year - much to my disgust - but the tide has turned and I can now go and replace what was stolen with even better things. The interesting thing about life is that it always hits you with something bad then surprises you with a thousandfold more of the amount of goodness in return. My mother brought me up with the saying "After laughter comes crying" - I decided rather to turn it around ... KEEP SMILING my friend
i just read Rick (JRFortsons) comment jeanz! You are so right, he is the clown on the site! Him and i are good friends too, he is my big bro! YEAH RICK THIS IS WHAT US GALS WEAR IN AFRICA!!! Great job Jeanz! sorry your camera got stolen! Next time inplant a black mamba or something! That should scare the heck out of these criminals!
Hello Biggsy ... thanks for popping in to my gallery ... I had 4 break-ins this year (they've wiped me out) ... too scared the mamba will turn on me. Welcome to Africa! hey I did consider leaving some food spiked with arsenic in the fridge. Anyway now I can buy nice new things and all will be sweet! KEEP SMILING my makker from SA!!!
Oh no that is terrible, 4 BREAK-INS in one year!!! and its not even over yet!! That is TERRIBLE!!! Oh heck i am shit scared of snakes! i am like a monkey, if i see a snake, i usually do a wild dance and then pass out... DOUFFF!!! Glad you see it positively, we had our first share in 5 years, since staying here... but we think its revenge related... we don't trust the youngster staying next door... creepy dude... as long they just leave my dogs alone, i am okay... like hubby always says: he likes donating stuff... (makes him feel better... ) Gosh, we have to have a "black" sense of humor, otherwise we will go under, right! YAY its nearly weekend!!! love it... Friday is my fav day of the week!...
Ai Biggsy ... I'm so glad you're on this site. Your wit is wonderful and you come across as such an amazing, lighthearted, casual ladylass. The Universe was trying to tell me something with all these robberies. It was just time to move. I'm moving at the beginning of September to my new home ... YAY ... my life is taking a wonderful upward swing at the mo. Friday's also my favourite day of the week ... tut tut - I used to be a workaholic but now I just live for the joy of it. KEEP SMILING lovely lass
i am on the floor here, i just read your and Ricks comments again! Rick is scared of Africa, i invited him too, but he then said: too much dust and i said he is a sissy! he is so funny, i think he is scared of flying... Now let me read what you wrote... aw.. i can say the same to you my friend! Thank you for your kind words, you melt my heart! You're moving to.... Pioneers Park? Do i remember correctly? You started off in Eros?... oh boy i can't remember or was it Olympia?... anyways, September is SPRING my fav season, so happy packing.. hope you started... oh hang on, the burglars did that for you already.. eishhhhhh
Hi Biggsy ... yup ... not much packing to do (you make me smile - the tsotsis did lighten the load a bit ) This time of the year brings much wind and with it much dust ... so I guess JR is right ... but he could always pay Africa a visit during the rainy season!!! I think he's just scared of the wild animals Have the most fantastic weekend my new friend from SA ... my youngest son is South African by the way ... born in Messina of all places KEEP SMILING
The tsotsi's You are cool! Yes we have much wind and dust too, but luckily not as bad as in NAM.. What i loved most about NAM is the sunsets (BEST IN THE WORLD!) and after one little bit of rain, all the green popping up.,.. PARADISE!! WOW your youngest son... how many do you have? Oh Messina is not a bad place, a bit wild now maybe, but i am sure with a bit of TLC it would be another paradise! OH the SHARKS WON!!!! YIHAAAAA...
When I lived in Oshakati it dawned on me why people living in the States during the great depression turned towards family suicide ... and then I moved to Kaokoland. (I mean jeanz!!! from the frying pan straight into the fire why don't you???!!! ) Dust, dust, and more dust. No wonder JR doesn't want to visit this part of the world !!! Sadly Messina was as dusty as anywhere in Namibia - but apple pie and milk tart (oh so English!!!) to die for. Is melktert one word? Oh go Sharkies!!! and only by a mere margine of 30 points! One day I'll tell you about my three sons Biggsy, but not now - it's a very sad story Sweet dreams tonight - soon we'll be changing our clocks forward again GROAN (I loved my extra hour of sleep in the mornings!)
OSHA-freaking-KATiiiiii!!! you poor person!!! Kaokoland i never visited, but i was in Ovamboland and Caprivi a lot... (while hubby was sleeping i drove the car........ HELL ROADS! never ever ends!!!) Yes melktert is one word! 3 SONS! Wow! hey you are welcome to mail me on my private mail, don't want you to "air" your private stuff on here... and if i am too nosey! Just tell me to trap my shut... i mean shut my trap! Enjoy your extra hours sleep, while you have it!
My dearest Christine, Did you have a good time with your daughter??? My own life is moving to an energetic phase as I must pack up home now as I have sold my very large house and am moving to a smaller unit in a housing complex. I suppose I won't be doing to many drawings for a while. Keep smiling my gorgeous friend and thank you for your very generous applause.
