It is a hoot to do this type of thing. Use White charcoal, some chalk and white pastel. Have fun it is very liberating!!!

Beautiful portrait but it look so dark. I didn't even recognize this as your work, Christine. Maybe it's the photo but try to lighten the skin a little!

The point of this excersize is to do a reverse picture it was done with white charcoal and pastel and some chalk. I had fun doing the reverse of a pencil drawing next is Barbara Streisand done in this technique. If I got too light then the effect would have been lost.

Oh that is good I think one has to develope a style and usually can improve on that eventually I am trying to improve I just love doing these portraits. I find it both challenging and rewarding too!!!
