My darling doggy is called Gina, because of this beautiful Actress, my Gina has also the dark "eyeliner".... and my Gina is a real darling! Well done Chantal!
I went on the net to see what your dogs like they are very big, very impressive and really beautiful. Me, my dog is a labrador, smaller but it was crossed with I don't know what dog, and she's a little aggressive. I did prepare, but she's a dominant, I don't like because I have 2 children, I must be vigilant
Labradors are amazing dogs, and few people believe they can be a bit aggressive. Do you take your dog for many walks? WITH the kids? Dogs are pack animals and if they walk with the kids (the whole family, mom, dad, children) its like a pack and it will help to calm your dog. Are your children bigger or still young ones?...
my daughters are 14 and 20 years. We too took Nala as a 'teddy bear' (spoiled) and she has become an important hierarchical too. She is aggressive only when she's inside the house. Outside she is adorable. My trainer told him we had to give up the dog and not a third child I have no authority I love her
I see, at least your daughters are not little babies anymore, but it seems to me, that because Nala was spoiled, she now thinks the house belongs only to her, right? So you will have to find a way to undo that! You have to take the power back Nala took away from you.... i believe it is possible, if done correctly. A big Tip i can give you, dogs are excellent body language readers, Nala can sense you are nervous, especially in the house, so she is reacting to it. Are you a very sensitive person? (nothing wrong with that, i am...) Also you must never forget, Nala is first an animal, then a dog and then Nala... it is a very common mistake with us humans who mean well. If i am correct, Nala has take the "leader" role inside the house, because you have let her (not intentionally ofcourse, but because you meant well) dogs think different than us humans and if you like i can try and help you with a few tips i know....
va bien my friend, i am glad you understand engish, because my french sucks We take it step by step and i will try and help you and hope my help will make you a happy family with a happy Nala again! First i would say we should try and understand how a dog thinks... if you are in a group of people and never say anything, the louder people will soon ignore you and that hurts, because you would like to be part of the team, right? So its with dogs too... They love to be in a team/pack, they are like us pack animals. Dogs HATE being ignored (i will explain how you can use this "trick") But we must always first remember, dogs are still animals, no matter how much we love them. If Nala is a little bit older, it might take alot of patience and determination to make her realise she is NOT the boss in the house, YOU are!!! It all depends on you and Nala and the rest of the family in the house....
I think I gave him too much freedom. I got him when the dog I had before was dying. And all the pain that I had turned into a boundless love ... Nala will be 2 years in November ... but I sent you an email ...
Hi Chantal, yes i got your lovely mail with the beautiful photo of Nala! and i send you a big fat mail back with some tips and also a photo of me and Nacho and some other photos of "dog language"...
My sweet friend, you were very emotional and did what your heart told you to do and what nature makes us humans do, if we love something! Don't feel bad at all, we all have to learn, i am learning EVERY DAY with my dogs! You will be ok and Nala too, you two will find a way, i know it! Remember i am here for you both!
many thanks Biggs
