It's a grey colour mostly watercolour or acrylic, a darker that litle grey more a slightly blue hue ( hue is the tone). Payne's grey named after the first guy to make it, Art History now. Brian.

Thank you, It's the details that put the work from OK to like the person. Over the years I have worked hard on getting good likeness. Without likeness people can say who's that? it is difficult but it's a wedge once a small ability starts, it grows until you just draw and paint with no thought of spots on the face just light and dark or something different. Thank you first for the kind words as for the wish well it's in your own hands. You draw excellently and have the shading gift. But no confidence or you are stuck on the school idea of painting. First may I say there is no secret it's just hard work first colour in your wonderful drawings do them on watercolour paper then apply paint to start as you would to a paint by numbers. Then use a little blending of colours I can give you the mix for a home made flesh tone I use. Later you can play with washes which is applying colour to wet paper. But it's the start and then the tricks that save work. If you wish I can help with a little advise. But it's practice that makes you good. I bet it was difficult to ride a bike the first, second or tenth time but like swimming and bike riding or even driving a car they come very easy with practice. If it was not hard or difficult then it would not be so satisfying. I love it and am hooked on practice even now. One day you will be a great artist.

I'm very sorry Azami I will paint only celebs or stars and post them on the website I don't do commissions because I did them for money years ago and only paint for free now! It's a little rule and one day I might change my mind but for this year sorry No. I have had to refuse not just to you but to many others.
