Thank you, Jean. I am pleased that you like it. I joined Paul's fan club in 1945, after I saw him in the movie, THE SPANISH MAIN, which also starred Maureen o'Hara.
Many thanks, Christine. Did you see Paul in NOW VOYAGER and THE SPANISH MAIN? Probably not. I keep forgetting I'm older that most folks on this website.
Hi Joyce but I am 62 years old but I didn't see the movie. He was a great actor and I am so happy you are depicting him have a great weekend. We are going on vacation to Branson Mo. next week so I won't be posting anything for about another week.
Hi Christine. But I am sure you saw him in Casablanca. Haven't you? Do have a marvelous time in Branson. I think we may go on a cruise in three or four weeks, after Ed has completed the radiation treatments.
Oh yes Casablanca I remember it well. Also I am hopeful that your Ed will bet better soon. My sister had radiation treatments for breast cancer and is fine now so if they caught it soon he should recover just fine. I am so happy to have met you Joyce tell Ed I am praying for him!!!
Thank you Christine, and also for prayers. I will tell Ed. I think Ed's was at stage 2; not sure. Have a good time at Branson, and tell me all about it when you get back.
Thanks Chantal. If you have seen the movie, Casablanca, you will remember him as Victor Laszlo, the heroic anti-Nazi leader. In the movie he sings "La Marseilloise" while the Germans are singing "Wacht am Rhein." He knows, in doing this, he will get into trouble with the German Major, but he does it anyway. Although Bergman falls in love with Humphrey Bogart, in the end she leaves with Paul Henreid.
I have seen this movie several times over the years. I will buy a copy of it when next we are in the store, Best Buy. They have a huge collection of old and new movies for sale.
